2、cessingtypicalQingstyle,itiswell-knownfortheexquisitebeautyofitsmagnificenthalls,andthevarioussizes,shapes,andcolorsofthebuildings.In1997,thegardenwasrecordedonthelistoftheworldheritagebyUNESCO.Thegardencangenerallybedividedintofourparts:thecentral,eastern,westernandnorthernpartsaccordingtothestyle
3、ofthebuildings.Thecentralpartisregardedasthebestpartofthewholegarden.Theeasternpartisfamousforitsstrangelyshapedstones.Thewesternpartisthescenesofhills.Thenorthernpartusedtobeavegetablegarden,butnowisusedtoexhibitpottedplantsofwhichtheSuzhoupeoplearequiteproud.ThecenterpartThewesternpartTheeasternp
4、artThenorthernpartWithahistoryofmorethan400years,theLiuyuanGardenhaschangedhandsseveraltimes.Eachownerdidhisbesttoperfectthegarden.Itwasfirstbuiltin1593duringtheMingDynasty(1368-1644)byaretiredofficialnamedXuTai.DuringtheQingDynasty(1644-1911),itwasboughtbyLiuShu.Asacalligraphylover,hecarvedmasterp
5、iecesonbothsidesofthecorridorsofthebuildings.Hehadalsocollectedunusually-shapedstonesinthegarden.Thesucceedingownersfollowedhismodelwhendoingrestorationwork.Almostdemolishedinthe1930s,thegardenwasrepairedsponsoredbythegovernmentandthenopenedtothepublic.这门厅正中屏门上嵌的一幅缀玉留园全景图。这是一九八六年时，为纪念苏州古城建成2500周年，由
