2、BB)permeabilityandtheS100Bproteinlevelinserumafteracutecerebralischemia/reperfusioninrats.METHODS:Themiddlecerebralarteryocclusion/reperfusion(MCAO/R)ratmodelwasmadebythethreadocclusionmethod;thepermeabilityofBBBwasinvestigatedbytransmissionelectronmicroscopeus
3、inglanthanumnitrateasthetracer;theserumS100BproteinconcentrationsweredeterminedbyELISAat0.5,2,6,12,24and48hreperfusionafter2hcerebralischemia.RESULTS:①Electronmicroscopyrevealedthatlanthanumgranulesappearedaroundthetightjunctionandintheendotheliocytesat0.5h11ar
4、eperfusion,indicatingtheincreaseofBBBpermeability.Morephagotrophiclanthanumgranuleswerefoundintheendotheliocytesthatshowedsignificantvacuolizationat2and6h.Thetightjunctionwasopenedandtheastrocyteswereseparatedfromthebasementmembraneofthecapillaries.Thenecrosiso
5、fbothneuronsandastrocyteswithdissolvednucleusandthedisruptionofthecapillarybasementmembranewerefoundat12and24h.Thenecrosisanddisaggregationofmanyneuronsandastrocyteswereevidentat48h.Alotoflanthanumgranuleswereshownoutsidethebrainvesselswhilemanyendotheliocytesw
6、erebroken.②TheserumS100Bproteinlevelincreasedsignificantlyonlyinratsaftercerebralischemia/reperfusioninjury,butnotintheshamoperationandthenonoperationcontrolrats(P<0.01).TheserumconcentrationofS100Bproteinstartedtoincreaseat0.5hofreperfusion.Itkeptatahighlev
