2、omparedtothosetreatedbythermallaser(TLP).METHODS:Aretrospectivestudywasperformedexaminingthefilesof42patients(42eyes)withAMDwhohadbeentreatedeitherbyTLP(Group1)andPDT(Group2).OnceAMDwasconsideredtobeinactivetheyunderwentvisualrehabilitationintheLVRUnitinordertoincreasetheirabilityfordistantandnearvi

3、sion.RESULTS:EighteeneyeshadreceivedPDTand24hadreceivedTLP.Averagecorrectedvisualacuityafterlasertherapywas0.14inGroup1,and0.16inGroup2.Nostatisticallysignificantdifferenceswerefoundbetweenbothgroupsbeforeandafterlasertherapy.BothgroupsshowedimprovementafterLVR;however,13statisticallysignificantdiff
