6、oicearenifurtimoxandbenznidazole,butbothhavesevereadverseeffectsandlesseffectivityinchronicinfections;therefore,theneedtodiscovernewdrugsisessential.Acomputer-guideddrugrepositioningmethodwasappliedtoidentifypotentialFDAdrugs(approvedandwithdrawn)ascruzain(Cz)inhibitorsandtryp

7、anocidaleffectswereconfirmedbyinvitroandinvivostudies.3180FDAdrugswerevirtuallyscreenedusingastructure-basedapproach.Fromafirstmoleculardockinganalysis,asetof33compoundswiththebestbindingenergieswereselected.Subsequentconsensusaffinitybinding,ligandaminoacidcontactclusteringanaly
