LaineDuplerMon/Wed12-2pm8/5/2021Inthenextfiveyears,IplanoncompletingmycollegedegreeinManagementInformationSystemsandMarketingatOhioUniversity.Duetomymajors,IhavechosentocompletetheJuniorCluster.SinceIliketoworkbymyself,IthinkMISisapracticalmajorformebecauseitdealswithtechnologyandcanbedoneindependentlyforthemostpart.AlthoughitisunclearexactlywhatIwanttodoasacareer,Iamleaningtowardworkingwithabank,forinstanceBankOneorBankofAmerica,anditsinformationsystems.Hopefullymyskillsandeducationcanimprovethebank’sdynamicandsecuritysystems.MyJungian16typepersonalityisISTJ:Introverted,Sensing,Thinking,andJudging.AccordingtoMeyers-Briggs,ISTJtypepersonalitiesare“thorough,painstaking,systematic,hard-working,andcarefulwithdetail.”Hopefullymyjobwithinabankisstructuredandorganized,sincethat’showIworkbest.However,Ineedtodevelopinareassuchasworkingwithotherpeopleandcommunicatingpraise,whichcanbeworkedonthroughmytworemainingyearsatOU.Mypersonalityalsovaluesstructureandplanning,soIamgoingtoworkveryhardatsecuringafull-timepositioninacompanybeforegraduatingcollegesoIcanprepareformyfutureprofessionduringspringquarterofsenioryear.Asacommittedmemberofanorganization,IhopetomakepositivecontributionstothecompanythefirstcoupleyearsIamthere,innovatingandimprovinginformationsystemstothecompany’sadvantage.Atsomepoint,IhopetotraveltoItalyforavacationsinceIhaveneverbeenoutoftheUnitedStatesandIthinkitwouldbeagreatopportunity.Attheendoffiveyears,Ihopetobeontheroadtoapromotioninmycompany;learning,improving,andcontributingalongtheway.
