2、youagainonthissolemnanniversary.Todaywerememberadaythatbeganlikesomanyothers. Therewereridestoschoolandcommutestowork,earlyflightsandfamiliarroutines,quickhugsandquietmoments. Itwasadaylikethisone--aclearbluesky,butaskythatwouldsoonbefilledwithcloudsofsmokeandprayersofanationshaken
3、toitscore.Evennow,alltheseyearslater,itiseasyforthoseofuswholivedthroughthatdaytocloseoureyesandtofindourselvesbackthere--andbackhere--backwhengriefcrashedoveruslikeanawfulwave,whenAmericanseverywhereheldeachothertight,seekingthereassurancethattheworldweknewwasn’tcrumblingunderourf
4、eet.EleventimeswehavemarkedanotherSeptember11thcomeandgone. Eleventimes,wehavepausedinremembrance,inreflection,inunityandinpurpose. Thisisneveraneasyday. Butitisespeciallydifficultforallofyou--thefamiliesofnearly3,000innocentswholosttheirlives--yourmothersandfathers,yourhusbandsand
5、wives,yoursonsandyourdaughters.Theyweretakenfromussuddenlyandfartoosoon.Toyouandyourfamilies,therestofuscannotbegintoimaginethepainyou'veenduredthesemanyyears. Wewillneverfullyunderstandhowdifficultithasbeenforyoutocarryon,tosummonthatstrengthandtorebuildyourlives.Butnomatterhowman
6、yyearspass,nomatterhowmanytimeswecometogetheronthishallowedground,knowthis--thatyouwillneverbealone. Yourlovedoneswillneverbeforgotten. Theywillendureintheheartsofournation,becausethroughtheirsacrifice,theyhelpedusmaketheAmericawearetoday--anAmericathathasemergedevenstronger.Mostof
