4、ncludingsexdiscrimination)areboundtobereflectedinlanguage.Language,toagreatextent,reflectssuchsocialphenomena:femalesaredefamed,belittled,andlaidinthepositionofbeingsubordinatetomales.Amajorissueinsociolinguisticstudieshasbeentherelationshipbetweengenderandlang
5、uage.Since1960s,therisingofthefeministmovementhasfurtherpromotedtheresearchofgenderlanguage. Asthepeculiarresultofthedevelopmentofthehumansociety,languagereflectsthesocietynaturally.Languageislikeamirrorthroughwhichcanseesocialviewsandattitudesofhumanbeings.Ac
6、cordingtoAlleenPaceNilsem(2007),languageandsocietyareasinterviewedasachickenandanegg.Languageuseistheevidenceofthevaluesandbeliefsofthatsociety.Allkindsofunequalphenomenainthesocietyincludingsexdiscriminationareboundtobereflectedinlanguage. Sociolinguisticsist
