1、COLLEGEREGULATIONSFORINTERNALSTUDENTSANDREGULATIONSFORDEGREES2004/05NotestotheRegulations1.PurposeTheseCollegeRegulationshavebeendraftedtomeettherequirementsofUniversityOrdinance15,paragraph9.TheUniversityofLondonhasconfirmedauthorisationoftheCollegetoawardthedegreescoveredbyth

2、eseRegulations.TheseRegulationsmaybeamendedbytheCollegewithintherequirementsofUniversityOrdinancessubjectonlytoannualreporttotheUniversity.2.ScopeoftheRegulations2.1TheseregulationsapplytothefollowingdegreesandtostudentsregisteredatBirkbeckCollegeforthesedegrees:FdA,FdScBA,BSc,

3、BSc(Econ)bycourse-unitsLLBMA,MFA,MScandMRes2.2TheGeneralRegulationscontainedwithintheseregulationsapplyalsotothosestudentsregisteredatBirkbeckCollegeforthefollowingdegrees:BAinPhilosophyMPhilandPhD2.3Theexaminationregulationsreferonlytocollege-basedexaminations.2.4Theseregulati

4、onsdonotapplytoexternalstudents.2.5TheseregulationsshouldbereadinconjunctionwiththecurrenteditionoftheCollegeCalendar.3.ApplicationoftheRegulationsTheseRegulationsandanysubsequentamendmentswillapplytoallstudentswhoareregisteredattheCollegeforthedegreesspecified.Theywillapplytob

5、othnewandcontinuingstudents.TheAcademicBoardhasapprovedproceduresforapproval,suspensionandoperationofdegreeregulationswhicharesetoutinAppendixCtotheRegulations.4.CertificatesandDiplomaTheseRegulationsdonotapplytoUniversityCertificatesandDiplomasofanykindnortoCollegeCertificates

6、andDiplomas.ThesearecurrentlythesubjectofconsultationbetweentheUniversityandCollegesinthecontextoftheOrdinances.ItisintendedthattheseRegulationswillbeextendedtocovercertificatesanddiplomasinduecourse.5.EffectiveDatesfortheRegulationsTheseRegulationswillbeeffectivefromthebeginni
