1、COLLEGEREGULATIONSFORINTERNALSTUDENTSANDREGULATIONSFORDEGREES2004/05NotestotheRegulations1.PurposeTheseCollegeRegulationshavebeendraftedtomeettherequirementsofUniversityOrdinance15,paragraph9.TheUniversityofLondonhasconfirmedauthorisationoftheCollegetoa

2、wardthedegreescoveredbytheseRegulations.TheseRegulationsmaybeamendedbytheCollegewithintherequirementsofUniversityOrdinancessubjectonlytoannualreporttotheUniversity.2.ScopeoftheRegulations2.1Theseregulationsapplytothefollowingdegreesandtostudentsregister

3、edatBirkbeckCollegeforthesedegrees:FdA,FdScBA,BSc,BSc(Econ)bycourse-unitsLLBMA,MFA,MScandMRes2.2TheGeneralRegulationscontainedwithintheseregulationsapplyalsotothosestudentsregisteredatBirkbeckCollegeforthefollowingdegrees:BAinPhilosophyMPhilandPhD2.3The

4、examinationregulationsreferonlytocollege-basedexaminations.2.4Theseregulationsdonotapplytoexternalstudents.2.5TheseregulationsshouldbereadinconjunctionwiththecurrenteditionoftheCollegeCalendar.3.ApplicationoftheRegulationsTheseRegulationsandanysubsequen

5、tamendmentswillapplytoallstudentswhoareregisteredattheCollegeforthedegreesspecified.Theywillapplytobothnewandcontinuingstudents.TheAcademicBoardhasapprovedproceduresforapproval,suspensionandoperationofdegreeregulationswhicharesetoutinAppendixCtotheRegul

6、ations.4.CertificatesandDiplomaTheseRegulationsdonotapplytoUniversityCertificatesandDiplomasofanykindnortoCollegeCertificatesandDiplomas.ThesearecurrentlythesubjectofconsultationbetweentheUniversityandCollegesinthecontextoftheOrdinances.Itisintendedthat
