3、nKualaLumpurintheformofaproposedmixeddevelopmentdesignedbytheauthorinKualaLumpur,Malaysia.Thetotalgrossfloorareaoftheprojectisabout400,000squaremeteror4.3millionsquarefeet.Itisconsistingofacarparkandretailcumcommercialpodiumwithfivetowerblocksrangingfrom37stor

4、iesto77storiesconsistingofoffices,condominiumsandserviceapartments.Theproposedprojectissituatedinaveryinterestingpartoftown.ThedevelopmentispartiallytobebuiltabovetheKlangRiverthatrunsthroughtheheartofKualaLumpur.OnthesouthoftheriveristheestablishedpartofKuala

5、LumpurwithbuildingsuchasPetronasTwinTowerwhichuntilrecentlywasthetallestbuildingintheworld.OnthenorthoftheriverisKampungBaru,anareamostlyneglectedintheoveralldevelopmentofthecity.Thisprojectwillusetheopportunityofbuildingacrosstherivertoconnecttwopartsofthecit

6、ytogetherandhelpstospeedupthephysicalandsocialdevelopmentofKampungBaruwhichislackbehindtherestofthecityintheoveralldevelopmentofthecity.Anumberofdesignprinciplesforthetropicalhigh-riseprototypeareexploredinthisprojectbeginningwiththestudyofsun’spathandgeometry
