2、lenge.PACE(Product,And,Cycle-time,Excellence,productandcycleoptimization)wasproposedbyPRTM,anAmericanmanagementconsultingfirmin1986.Afteryearsofimprovement,PACEhasbecomethestandardprocessofproductdevelopmentinthereferencemodel,manycompaniesincludingIBM,Mot
3、orola,DuPont,HUAWEI,hasbroughtvariousideasintopracticePACE.Sevenelementsofproductdevelopmentprocess(1)Theproductdevelopmentprocesscanbedividedintosevenrelatedelements,eachofwhichhasitscommonshortcomings.PACEoffersavarietyofmethods,techniques,andmeanstoover
4、comethedeficienciesofeachelement.Thefollowingsevenrelatedelementswereintroduced,somecommonshortcomingsweresummarized,andforeachelement,abriefintroductiontothePACEsolution.Inlaterchapters,eachelementofPACEwillbefurtherelaborated.1,decision-makingAllcompanie

6、tdesign,thenthestartwillbedelayed.Weseealotofmissedopportunitiessimplybecauseproductpioneersdon'tknowhowtousethisinformaldecisionprocess.Acomputercompanyweusedtohelphaveaninefficientdecision-makingprocess,whichistypicalofmanyoftheprocesseswe'veseen.Inthisc
7、ompany,theprojectreviewhasbeenreducedtoaseriesoflengthyreportsfordifferentaudiences.Therearesomanypeopleinvolvedandsomanyquestionsraised,butthesereportsarenotmeetingdecisions.Reviewsarenotcarriedoutattheappropriatetimeofthedevelopmentprocesstofacilitatedec
