3、oduction,bothjournalarticlesandbooks.Findings–Itisshowninthepaperthatthereisnoconsensusonadefinitionofleanproductionbetweentheexaminedauthors.Theauthorsalsoseemtohavedifferentopinionsonwhichcharacteristicsshouldbeassociatedwiththeconcept.Overallitcanbeconclud

4、edthatleanproductionisnotclearlydefinedinthereviewedliterature.Thisdivergencecancausesomeconfusiononatheoreticallevel,butisprobablymoreproblematiconapracticallevelwhenorganizationsaimtoimplementtheconcept.Thispaperarguesthatitisimportantforanorganizationtoack

5、nowledgethedifferentvariations,andtoraisetheawarenessoftheinputintheimplementationprocess.Itisfurtherarguedthattheorganizationshouldnotacceptanyrandomvariantoflean,butmakeactivechoicesandadapttheconcepttosuittheorganization'sneeds.Throughthisprocessofadaptati
