3、ionalbehaviournegativelyimpactsorganizationalperformance(Mobley,1982).Moreover,thepotentialcostofstaffturnoverinserviceindustriesisrecognizedtobehigh,andincludesknowledgelostwithintheorganisation,thetrainingrequiredfornewemployees,lossofestablishedconnections
4、withcustomers,andultimately,loweredservicequalityandcustomersatisfaction(Joineretal.,2004).Inparticular,therehasbeenarapiddevelopmentinthehotelindustryinMacausincethegaminglicensehasbeenliberatedin2000.Retainingqualifiedfrontlineemployeeshasbeenagreatchallenge
5、intheMacaugamingindustry(itisthelargestgamingcentreintheworld),touristnumbersareincreasingatafasterratethenthelocalpopulation.Consequently,careerdevelopmentintourismindustryismoreimportantthaninotherindustries.Thatis,retainingqualifiedserviceemployeesisoneofth
