2、enatureoftranslation,thefunctionsandtheirsoflanguage,linguisticandcommunicationtheoriesintranslationandthecompetenceofatranslator.Inlearningthetechniquesoftranslation,thestudentswillmainlyworkontheanalysisofatext,wordmeaningsincontext,theprocessoftranslation,feasibilityoflitera
3、ltranslationandexpressioninidiomaticChineseandEnglish.Thecoursewillalsohelpthestudentstogaininsightintotranslationfromculturalandaestheticperspectivestoenhancetheircompetenceinthetwolanguages.Bytheendofthecourse,thestudentsareexpectedtobeabletotranslate,withreasonableaccuracy,f
