3、cordancewiththePatentLawofthePeople’sRepublicofChina(hereinafterreferredtoasthePatentLaw).Article2AnyformalitiesprescribedbythePatentLawandtheseRulesshallbeperformedinwrittenformorinanyotherformprescribedbythepatentadministrationdepartmentoftheStateCouncil.Article3Anydoc

4、umentsubmittedinaccordancewiththeprovisionsofthePatentLawandtheseRulesshallbeinChinese;thestandardscientificandtechnicaltermsshallbeusedifthereisaprescribedonesetforthbytheState;wherenogenerallyacceptedtranslationinChinesecanbefoundforaforeignnameorscientificortechnicalt

5、erm,theoneintheoriginallanguageshallbealsoindicated.WhereanycertificateorcertifyingdocumentsubmittedinaccordancewiththeprovisionsofthePatentLawandtheseRulesisinaforeignlanguage,thepatentadministrationdepartmentoftheStateCouncilmay,whenitdeemsnecessary,requireaChinesetran

6、slationofthecertificateorthecertifyingdocumenttobesubmittedwithinaspecifiedtimelimit;wherethetranslationisnotsubmittedwithinthespecifiedtimelimit,thecertificateorcertifyingdocumentshallbedeemednottohavebeensubmitted.Article4Whereanydocumentissentbymailtothepatentadminist

7、ration1departmentoftheStateCouncil,thedateofmailingindicatedbythepostmarkontheenvelopeshallbedeemedtobethedateoffiling;wherethedateofmailingindicatedbythepostmarkontheenvelopeisillegible,thedateonwhichthepatentadministrationdepartmentoftheStateCouncilreceivesthedocuments
