2、hedecisionmak-ingunitsinternalinefficienciestobedistinguishedThispaperusesDataEnvelopmentAnalysis(DEA)fromthoseassociatedwiththeirgroup(orprogram)andMalmquistindicestodevelopmeasuresforcom-characteristics.TheapplicabilityofthesemeasuresparinggroupsofDecisionMaking
3、Units(DMUs)isillustratedwiththeassessmentofbankbranchesandillustratestheapproachdevelopedwithanappli-performance.TheanalysisinvolvestheconstructioncationtoaPortuguesecommercialbank.Thegroupsofanindexreflectingtherelativeperformanceofconsideredinthispaperrepresenta
4、lternativebranchesinfourdifferentregions,whichcanbeapproachesforperformingthebankbranchtasks,decomposedintoanindexforthecomparisonofi.e.,toprovidefinancialservicesandcounsellingtowithin-groupefficiencyspread,evaluatinginternalbankcustomers.Althoughthetaskofallbranc
