2、85-0022,JapanReceived8April2000SUMMARYRecently,complaintsaboutlowfrequencynoiseareincreasinginJapan.InInter-Noise‘99,Ochiaihasreportedthefollowingthreekindsofevaluationmethodsforeffectscausedbyinfraandlowfrequencynoise.(1)Anevaluationforrattlingofdoorsorwindows.(2)Anevaluation

3、forpsychologicalandsleepeffects(3)Anevaluationforoppressiveorvibratorysensation.Wehavedevelopedameasuringinstrumentcorrespondingtotheaboveevaluationmethods.Inthisreport,anoutlineoftheinstrumentandexamplesofinfraandlowfrequencynoisedataareintroduced.INTRODUCTIONInrecentyearsinf

4、rasonicandlowfrequency(ILF)noiseproblemshaveattractedalotofattention,withincreasingnumbersofcomplaints.Morethanhalfofthesecomplaintsareinregardtonoiseorvibration,mostofwhichisrecognizedbyrattlingofstructures.Thesoundpressurelevelwhichmakeswindowsordoorsrattlehasdifferentcharac

5、teristicfrequenciesfromthesoundpressurelevelwhichahumansensesasILFnoise.Basedonthis,OchiaiandhisstudygrouphaveproposedanevaluationmethodforILFnoisein“Inter-noise99”(1).AninstrumenttomeasureILFnoisehasrecentlybeendevelopedbyus,basedonthatidea.Inthispaper,thefeaturesofthemeteran

6、dexamplesofILFnoisemeasuredinthefieldwillbepresented.EvaluationmethodofILFnoiseTheproposedevaluationmethod1)ofILFnoiseisasfollows:TherangeoffrequenciesofILFnoiseisdefinedas1-80Hzatthecentralfrequenciesof1/3octavebands.TheinfluencecausedbyILFnoiseshouldbeevaluatedonthethreefoll
