2、nandpowergeneratingsystems.10.1.1Modulatedkinetics(MK)combustionmodelingThe”ModulatedKinetics”(MK)system,developedbyNissan,incorporatesinaregularDIcompessionignitionengineusingdieselfuel.Atlightload,theengineoperateswithhighswirl,highEGR,andretardedinjectiontiming.Undert
3、heseconditions,thetimerequiredtoachievenearlycompletemixingisshorterthanthetimerequiredforfuelautoignition.Thus,MKregimeisbasedonlow-temperaturepre-mixedcombustionforthesimultaneousreductionofNOxandparticulatematterwithoutearlyinjection.FortheNOxreduction,thecombustionFi

7、iametertoroidalcombustionchamberreducedNOxandsmokewithoutincreasingfuelconsumption.Butinthehighloadregion,thehightemperatureintakegasshortenedtheignitiondelay,socoolingoftheintakegaswasnecessaryforthelowtemperaturepre-mixedcombustiontooccur.Intheirmorerecentresearch,they
