万方数据中文摘要在美国文坛上,托尼·莫里森无疑是一颗耀眼的明星。这不仅仅是因为她是获得诺贝尔文学奖的第一位黑人作家且是第一位黑人女作家,更重要的是她的作品散发着独特的文学魅力。自从1970年发表第一本小说《最蓝的眼睛》以来,她共创作了八部小说,这些小说都关注在白人主流社会中美国黑人对自身文化生存和文化身份的探索。其在小说中弘扬的黑人文化也使得社会对黑人这个特殊的族群有了深刻的了解。《天堂》是莫里森获得诺贝尔文学奖后发表的第一部作品,也是莫里森“历史三部曲”的最后一部。《纽约时报》称其为“这是莫里森最奇特的作品”:“迄今为止最优秀最具有创新性的小说”。而有些评论家认为它语言晦涩难懂,是莫里森的败笔之作。事实上,这部莫里森历尽6年才完成的小说构思新颖,结构独特,其继续展示了莫里森的文学魅力。正如罗恩大卫指出,这部小说可以用看成是两本独立的书,一本讲述的是“八层石头”家族和他们的鲁比镇的故事;另一本说讲述的是五个流浪女人的修道院的故事。“八层石头”因其皮肤黝黑而得名。黝黑的肤色使得他们备受白人和浅肤色种族的歧视。因此,他们逃离主流社会,历尽艰辛找到了“应许之地”,建立了一个纯黑城镇⋯鲁比镇。他们的邻居⋯女修道院收留了五个女人。这些女人不堪忍受种族压迫和性别歧视而逃离家庭和社会,在女修道院里找到了自我。这 万方数据两个社区的不同发展方式推动了故事的发展。这部小说一经出版就引发了评论界的关注。国内外的文学评论家从各个视角出发,试图挖掘这部小说的深层意义。有从后殖民主义出发来探究这部小说中的种族问题,莫里森实际上还是在探讨白人和黑人的深层矛盾;有从历史主义角度出发,认为这部小说实际上是美国历史的缩影,莫里森实际上是把美国历史浓缩在了黑人发展过程中;有从心理角度出发来探讨创伤记忆对小说主人公心理的影响,认为故事的主人公们都是精神创伤的受害者;有从女性主义来分析小说中的性别问题,认为这本小说其实是男人和女人的战争;另外,还有文化角度来分析小说的主题,圣经形象等等。本论文试图突破这些传统的批评视角,创新地用法国哲学家吉尔·德勒兹和费利斯·瓜塔里的空间思想中的流动概念来分析这本小说。作者认为《天堂》作为一部文学作品生动地体现了德勒兹和瓜塔里的流动概念。流动概念是德勒兹和瓜塔里空间理论的核心概念。与传统意义上认为流动是一种运动不同,德勒兹和瓜塔里认为流动就是欲望。欲望流动,或“欲望机器”,长期被俄狄浦斯式的机制所压抑。俄狄浦斯情结规定了一种权威和阻碍,其不仅在家庭而且还在社会中运行。弗洛伊德认为人应该压抑住自己内心的欲望从而成为一个正常人。而德勒兹和瓜塔里看到了欲望生产和社会生产的紧密联系。他们认为社会是一个“巨大的空间,用来记录欲望生产的整个过程"。欲望沿着分离点和强度带在这个平滑的空间上线性流动。欲望是一种社会性的产物而绝非仅仅是个人产物,蔓延了整个社会基础。德勒兹和瓜塔里提 万方数据出流动是社会存在的基础。生命本身就是一个不断变化的空间和产生社会空间的运动。欲望流动推到事物彼此趋向,产生联系。“一旦两个个体产生联系,就形成了领域化”。领域化总是和二元机制在一起的。社会阶级的切分逼迫社会个体进行早已预定的选择。社会个体置身于某种强加的编码和辖域。这种种辖域把社会个体囚禁在某一固定的位置,通过编码来阻止其突破这种既定辖域。然而,社会个体不断产生欲望流动。其迫切希望释放这种欲望流动,更新现有状态,重塑领域。于是,便出现了去领域化。去领域化即打破已经建立的领域的控制和规定的秩序。它能够一种可能性,即逃离“个体”是什么,而成为一种“他者”。当去领域化实现后,个体重新建立其领域,“在过去中为现在寻找一种精神家园”。即再领域化。再领域化是在新建立的领域上划分权力范围,制定规章制度。逃逸线是绝对的去领域化运动。在此,个体不再拥有任何辖域,摆脱了任何编码。逃逸线冲破了编码的牢笼,种种社会准则,制度,思维模式,公理的编码。托尼莫里森的《天堂》是一个很好的文学作品来阐释德勒兹和瓜塔里的流动概念。“八层石头"和女修道院的女人们被传统的社会编码设为低等种族和软弱的女人,被社会驱逐的人。这种恶意的社会编码压抑了他们对自由和平等的欲望流动。为了解放这种欲望,即德勒兹和瓜塔里所提出的“欲望机器”,这两个群体逃离了主流社会,挣脱了传统社会偏见的枷锁。逃离后建立的鲁比镇和女修道院证明了他们成功地对种族主义和性别主义的去领域化。然而,这两个社区面临不同的发展状况。因害怕受到白人社会的影响,鲁比镇的长老们拒绝
