5、rLowerRespiratoryInfections(ALRI)suchaspneu-pollutionindicatorsparticularlyinpoorruralcon-moniaamongstchildrenlessthanfive(Bruceetal.,texts.Theaimofthisstudywastoevaluateacom-2000).Indoorairpollutionisassociatedwiththemunitycounsellinginterventiononst
6、ationarylevelsexcessmortalityof1.6millionpeopleeachyearandofPM10andcarbonmonoxide(CO)aswellasCOisthefourthlargestglobaldiseaseriskfactormeasuredonchildrenyoungerthanfive.Usingaaccountingfor3.6%ofattributabledisabilityadjust-quasi-experimentaldesign,ba
7、selinedatawascol-edlifeyears(DALYs)inhighmortalitydevelopinglectedinanintervention(n=36)andacontrolcountries(Ezzatietal.,2002).InSouthAfrica,as(n=38)community;theinterventionwasimple-manyas1400childdeathsannuallyhavebeenmentedintheinterventioncommunit
8、yonly;andassociatedwithindoorairpollutionexposurefollow-updatawascollectedoneyearlateramongst(Normanetal.,2007).Indoorairpollutionispar-thesamehouseholds.DespitethefactthatindoorticularlyproblematicinSouthAfricanruralareasairpollutionwasreduce
