2、tovesisamajorcauseofacuterespiratoryinfections(ARI)andaserioushealthriskindevelopingcountries.ThispaperexaminesimprovementsinrespiratoryhealthforchildrenfiveandunderinruralChinaresultingfromstoveandbehaviouralinterventionstoreduceIAP.TheanalysisusesdatafromaWorldBank/GovernmentofChinaprojectcomple

3、tedin2006,wherebyalargenumberofruralhouseholdsfromfourprovincesinChinaweresubjecttodifferentcombinationsofstoveimprovementandbehaviouralinterventionstoreduceIAPlevelsandexposure.Differ-ence-in-differenceandmatchingmodelsshowthatbothstoveandbehaviouralinterventionswereeffectiveinreducingtheinciden
