3、rtner"or"MediterraneanDialogue"countries.Theobservationsandrecommendationsmadeatthemeetings,aswellasthecontentsofthevolumesintheSeries,reflectthoseofparti-cipantsandcontributorsonly;theyshouldnotnecessarilyberegardedasreflectingNATOviewsorpolicy.AdvancedStudyInstitutes(ASI)arehigh-leveltutorialcour

4、sesintendedtoconveythelatestdevelopmentsinasubjecttoanadvanced-levelaudienceAdvancedResearchWorkshops(ARW)areexpertmeetingswhereanintensebutinformalexchangeofviewsatthefrontiersofasubjectaimsatidentifyingdirectionsforfutureactionFollowingatransformationoftheprogrammein2006theSerieshasbeenre-namedan
