1、AbstractAbstractEnglishhasbeenattractingincreasingattentioninChinasince1980sanditisamainsubjectindifferentstagesofschooleducation.Meanwhile,theresearchesconcerningEnglishteachingandlearninghavebeendevelopingvigorously.However,theresearchesonEnglishteachereducation,whichiscalledt
2、he“mothermachine”ofEnglisheducation,werestartedanddevelopedrelativelylate.Theresearchesonforeignlanguageteachereducationwerefirstcarriedoutin1990sabroad,whileinChina,theresearchesonEnglishteachereducationwerestartedin2000s.Uptonow,alargenumberofscholarsandteachereducatorsbothath
3、omeandabroadhavecontributedtoEnglish(foreignlanguage)teachereducationresearchfromvariousperspectivessuchasthecurrentsituation,thecurriculumdesign,teachers’qualitytraining,etc.IntheresearchareaofEnglishteachereducation,pre-serviceprimaryEnglishteachereducationisanimportantconstit
4、uentpart.Nevertheless,fewresearchesonithavebeenconducted.HowtoeducatequalifiedprimaryEnglishteachersremainstheproblemthatresearchersandteachereducatorsmustsolve.In2001,EnglishCurriculumStandardswaspromulgatedbyMinistryofEducationtoadapttothequality-orientedfundamentaleducationre
5、form.ThesectionforprimaryschoolintheStandardsprescribespreciselytherequirementsforprimaryEnglishteachers’qualities,whichprovidesameasurementforpre-serviceprimaryEnglisheducationprogramandanewperspectivefortheresearchersinthisarea.ButconcerningEnglishCurriculumStandards,mostresea
6、rchershavepaidmoreattentiontothestudiesofimprovingin-serviceprimaryEnglishteachers’qualities,whilefewhavecombinedtheirstudieswithpre-serviceprimaryEnglishteachereducation.Basedontheachievementsmadebypreviousresearchersbothathomeandabroad,thepresentstudyintendstoconnectthepre-ser
