3、“harmonized”EuropeanStandardandfullytakesintoaccounttherequirementsoftheEuropeanCommissionmandateM/128,Productsrelatedtoconcrete,mortarandgrout,givenundertheEUConstructionProductsDirective(89/106/EEC),andisintendedtoleadtoCEmarking.ThedateofapplicabilityofEN1504
4、-4:2004asa“harmonized”EuropeanStandard,i.e.thedateafterwhichthisstandardmaybeusedforCEmarkingpurposes,issubjecttoanannouncementintheOfficialJournaloftheEuropeanCommunities.TheCommissioninconsultationwithMemberStateshasagreedatransitionperiodfortheco-existenceof“
5、harmonized”EuropeanStandardsandtheircorrespondingnationalstandard(s).Itisintendedthatthisperiodwillcompriseaperiod,usuallyninemonths,afterthedateofavailabilityoftheEuropeanStandard,duringwhichanyrequiredchangestonationalregulationsaretobemade,followedbyafurtherp
6、eriod,usuallyof12months,fortheimplementationofCEmarking.Attheendofthisco-existenceperiod,thenationalstandard(s)willbewithdrawn.EN1504-4:2004isthesubjectoftransitionalarrangementsagreedundertheCommissionmandate.IntheUK,therearenocorrespondingnationalstandardsofna
