3、6/EEC),andisintendedtoleadtoCEmarking.ThedateofacceptabilityofEN1504-5asaharmonizedEuropeanStandard,i.e.thedateafterwhichthisstandardmaybeusedforCEmarkingpurposes,issubjecttoanannouncementintheOfficialJournaloftheEuropeanCommunities.TheCommissioninconsultationwithMemberStateshasagreedatransitionperi
4、odforco-existenceofharmonizedEuropeanStandardsandtheircorrespondingnationalstandard(s).Itisintendedthatthisperiodwillcompriseaperiod,usuallyninemonths,afterthedateofavailabilityoftheEuropeanStandard,duringwhichanyrequiredchangestonationalregulationsaretobemade,followedbyafurtherperiod,usuallyof12mon
5、ths,fortheimplementationofCEmarking.Attheendofthisco-existenceperiod,thenationalstandard(s)willbewithdrawn.EN1504-5isthesubjectoftransitionalarrangementsagreedundertheCommissionmandate.IntheUK,therearenocorrespondingnationalstandardsofnationalorigin.TheUKparticipationinitspreparationwasentrustedbyTe
