4、ife,andrequirementsmaydifferwithclimate,soil,sitesize,andwiththeexperienceandknowledgeofthedesigner.Thefactorsthathavethemostoutstandingsolutionsareimpermeability,controlofheat,air,andwaterflow,andthestabilityofthestructure[1-3].Rawmaterialsextraction,manufacturingprocesses,andthetra
5、nsportationofthematerialstotheprojectsitehaveamultitudeofimpactsontheenvironment.Theseincludethedisruptionofhabitatsandecologicalsystems,useofwater,and,throughenergyuse,theemissionsofairpollutantsandclimatechangegases.Buildingmaterialsalsohavemajorimpactsonthebuildingoccupantsmanufac
6、ture,constructionofbuildingsandtheuseofbuildingmaterialsmakeasignificantenvironmentalimpactinternally,locallyandglobally.Butitisnoteasytodeliverinformationtomakeadequateinclusiondecisionsconsideringthewholelifecycleofabuilding.Decisionsonsustainablebuildingintegrateanumberofstrategie
