2、,butsomehaveobsessedmeformanyyears.OneofthemisthatmanystudentsofminecannotachieveagoodresultintheirusualEnglishreading.Tosaymoreexactly,moststudentsofminecannotachievegoodmarksinEnglishreadingattheirexaminations.Butasafact,Englishreadingplaysanimportantroleinmanyaspectsofourlifeandbecomesmoreandmor

3、eimportantinschool’steaching.Ontheotherhandthisresearchpresentsadetailedreportoftheprojectimplementedtofosterstudents’interestinEnglishreadingandtoimprovestudents’readingskill,throughbetter-designedreadingexercises.Basedontheassumptionthatbetter-designedreadingexercisesandbetter-organizedreadingcla

4、sscanincreasedthestudents’interestinreadingandthusmotivatethestudentstodoreadinghappily,atwelve-weekprogramwasadopted.Thehypothesisisverifiedbyathree-weekclassroomteachingofthenewlydesignedreadingexercisesandusedallkindsofreadingmethodssuchasskimming,scan.Datawerecollectedthroughobservationanddiscu

5、ssionofwhichshowsthatbetter-designedreadingexercisesreallycontributestostudents’motivationinreading.Basedonthedatacollectedbetweenthetargetgroupandcontrolgroup,itcanbeseenthatthebetter-designedtaskishelpfultomostlearners.Thelearners’interestinEnglishreadingintheexperimentalgrouphasdistinctlyincreas
