2、problems.Somehavecalledformyimmediateaction,butsomehaveobsessedmeformanyyears.OneofthemisthatmanystudentsofminecannotachieveagoodresultintheirusualEnglishreading.Tosaymoreexactly,moststudentsofminecannotachievegoodmarksinEnglishreadingattheirexaminations.B

3、utasafact,Englishreadingplaysanimportantroleinmanyaspectsofourlifeandbecomesmoreandmoreimportantinschool’steaching.Ontheotherhandthisresearchpresentsadetailedreportoftheprojectimplementedtofosterstudents’interestinEnglishreadingandtoimprovestudents’reading

4、skill,throughbetter-designedreadingexercises.Basedontheassumptionthatbetter-designedreadingexercisesandbetter-organizedreadingclasscanincreasedthestudents’interestinreadingandthusmotivatethestudentstodoreadinghappily,atwelve-weekprogramwasadopted.Thehypoth

5、esisisverifiedbyathree-weekclassroomteachingofthenewlydesignedreadingexercisesandusedallkindsofreadingmethodssuchasskimming,scan.Datawerecollectedthroughobservationanddiscussionofwhichshowsthatbetter-designedreadingexercisesreallycontributestostudents’moti

6、vationinreading.Basedonthedatacollectedbetweenthetargetgroupandcontrolgroup,itcanbeseenthatthebetter-designedtaskishelpfultomostlearners.Thelearners’interestinEnglishreadingintheexperimentalgrouphasdistinctlyincreased.However,theprogramseemstobepowerlessto
