2、nas“theLostGeneration”,asdescribedinhisposthumousmemoirAMoveableFeast.HereceivedthePulitzerPrizein1953forTheOldManandtheSeaandtheNobelPrizeinLiteraturein1954.Hemingway’sdistinctivewritingstyleischaracterizedbyeconomyandunderstatement.Ithadasignificantinfluenceonthed
3、evelopmentoftwentieth-centuryfictionwriting.Hisprotagonistsaretypicallystoicmenwhoexhibitanidealdescribedas“graceunderpressure.”ManyofhisworksarenowconsideredcanonicalinAmericanliterature.Hemingwayincorporatedthedeepunderstandingofdeathintohisownlifeconsciousnesswit
