3、avements,thatis,havingbeamstrength.Thisdistinctionisimportantbecauseitprovidestheykeytothedesignapproachwhichmustbeusedforsuccessfulflexiblepavementstructures.Theflexiblepavementclassificationmaybefurtherbrokendownintohighandlowtypes,thetypeusuallydependingonwheth
4、erasolidorliquidasphaltproductisusedThelowtypesofpavementaremadewiththecutback,oremulsion,liquidproductsandareverywidelyusedthroughoutthiscountry.Descriptiveterminologyhasbeendevelopedinvarioussectionsofthecountrytotheextentthatonepavementtypemayhaveseveralnames.H
5、owever,thegeneralprocessfollowedinconstructionissimilarformostlow-typepavementsandcanbedescribedasoneinwhichtheaggregateandtheasphaltproductareusuallyappliedtotheroadbedseparatelyandtheremixedorallowedtomix,formingthepavement.Thehightypeofasphaltpavementsismadewit
