3、ositionsoftheelectronbeamspot.Theresultsshowthatwiththeincrementofthebeamoffsettothesilversidefromtheinterfacebetweensilverandsteel,theseammorphologywasimproved,andtheporosityintheAginterlayervanished.AtransitionlayermainlycomposedofAg2AlandAleutecticwasformedatth
4、einterfacebetweensilverandaluminum,andbecamethinandspiccatoasthebeamoffsetincreased.Whenthebeamoffsetwastoolarge,twoIMClayerscomposedofFeAlandFeAl3respectivelywereformedattheinterfacebetweensteelandAginterlayer.Theoptimalbeamoffsetwas0.2mm,andthemaximumtensilestre

6、uresthankstolowdensity,highspecificstrengthandgoodresistanceagainstcorrosion.Nowadays,aluminumalloy/steelcomponentsarewidelyusedinfieldsofautomotive,shipping,airspaceandaerospaceindustries[1−2].However,asatypicaldissimilarmetalassembly,thereareproblemsofresidualst
7、ressandbrittleintermetallicphasesinthejointbecauseoftheirpoorphysicalandmetallurgicalcompatibility,whichmakesitdifficulttojointhemtogetherbytraditionalfusionweldingtechnique.Othermethods,suchasdiffusionbonding[3],frictionstirwelding[4−7],brazing[8−11],fusion-brazi
