3、hepitisnotfreeandtendstosticktooneorbothhalvesofthecutapricot.Apricotcuttingmachineshavingafloatingnon-rotatingknifehaveheretoforebeenknownsuchasthatdescribedinPatent2,735,466whereintheapricotisrolledunderafloatingknife,theknifeseveringtheapricotandthereafterahookortailformingapartoftheknife

4、dislodgesthefreepitastheapricotpassesunderneaththehook.Suchastructureworkswellwithfreepitapricotsbuttendstojam-upwhenanapricotwithastuckpitisencountered.Onhand-fedmachines,thisoccurrenceiseasilyrectifiedbytheoperatorbutonmodernautomaticmachinery,manyapricotsaredamagedbeforesuchajamwillcleari

5、tself.Itisaprimaryobjectofthepresentinventiontoprovideanapricotcuttingmachinewhereinthepitsaredislodgedinapositivemanner.Anotherobjectofthisinventionistoprovideanapricotcuttingmachinehavinganoscillatingpitkickerwhichpositivelydislodgesstuckpits.Astillfurtherobjectofthisinven'ionistoprovidean
