3、recognition;featureevalutation;divisibilitycritironI.INTRODUCTIONColoristhemostintuitivevisionfeaturetodescribecolorfulimages.Ithasbeenwidelyusedinpatternrecognitionforthereasonthatcolorfeatureisalmostfreefromtheeffectsofscale,rotationandtranslationfortheinputimages[1].Colorsincolorfulim

4、agescanbedefinedbydifferentcolorspacemodels,suchasRGBspace,CMYspace,I1I2I3space,YUVspaceandHSIspace.Amongtheabovecolorspaces,RGBisthebasicandthemostcommononeandcanreadilybemappedintoothercolorspaces.However,RGBspaceisnon-uniformforcolorperceptionandistooeasilyinfluencedbylight.Thethreeco

5、lorcomponentsofRGBspacearecorrelatedwitheachother[2].CMYspacerepresentscolorsbythecomplementarycomponentofRGBcomponents.YUVspace,frequentlyusedincolorTVsystems,usesthreechannelsasY,UandVtodefinethepixel.Yarethebrightnessinformation,UandVarethecolordifferencewhichdenotestheoverallcolordif

6、ferenceinsteadofthedifferencebetweenthethreecomponentsofRGB.HSIspaceisauniformonewhichconsiststothehumanperceptionofcolors.Itsthreecomponentsaremutuallyindependentandcanperceivecolorchangeofeachcomponentrespectively.Butnon-lineartransforminHSIspacemayleadsubstantialcomputationaswellassin

7、gularityofthecolorspacewhenthesaturationislow.WhileinYCbCrcolorspace,thechrominancecomponentandtheluminancecomponentareinterdependent.Besidesthat,theconversionfromYCbCrspacetoRGBspaceislinearandsimple,soYCbCrspaceiscommonlyusedinthefieldofvideoencodingcompression.YUVspace
