1、STANDARDPRACTICEPROCEDURESPP-009DRUGANDALCOHOLMANAGEMENTPROGRAM1.PURPOSEDownerEDIRail(DEDIR)iscommittedtoprovidingazeroharmculturethatsupportsfitnessforworkandasafeworkingenvironmentfreefromtherisksassociatedwithdrugsandalcoholwhichcanimpairtheabilitytomaintai

2、nsafeworkpractices.Thepurposeoftheprogramistoachievethehigheststandardsofhealthandsafetybymaintainingadrugandalcoholsafeworkplace,inkeepingwiththeDEDIRDrugandAlcoholPolicy.Thisprocedurewillbeperiodicallyreviewedtoidentifybestpracticeindrugandalcoholtesting.DED

3、IRencouragesemployeeswhomayhaveadrugandoralcoholproblemtoseekprofessionalguidanceandthecompanywillassistinsuchefforts.2.SCOPEThisprocedureappliestoallemployees,contractors,subcontractorsandtheirownpersonnelasDEDIRrecognisesthatbeingaffectedbytheunsafeuseofdrug

4、sandalcoholrepresentsaserioushazardwithintheworkplace.Visitorsarealsoexpectedtocomplywithrelevantaspectsofthisprocedure.Theco-operationandsupportofallpersonnelinthemanagementofthisprocedureisessential.Allpeoplehavearesponsibilitytoreducetheriskofinjuryofworkas
