2、indicatethatthevariationinhorizontal,verticalandshearstresses,aswellasthehorizontalandverticaldisplacementsintheupperandthelowerfaultblocksattheworkfacearealmostidentical.Influencedbyminingofthefloorrock,therearestressreleasingandstressrisingareasattheupperpartandatthefootwallofthefault.Thedis
3、tributionofstressisinfluencedbythefaultsothatthestressisolinesarestaggeredbythefaultfaceandthestressisfocusedontherockseamaroundthetwoendsofthefault.Buttheinfluenceinfaultactivationontheupperorthelowerfaultblocksoftheworkfaceismarkedlydifferent.Whentheworkfaceisonthefootwallofthefault,thereisa
4、horizontaltensionstressareaontheupperpartofthefault;whentheworkfaceisontheupperpartofthefault,ithasahorizontalcompressivestressareaonthelowerfaultblock.Whentheworkfaceisatthelowerfaultblock,themaximumverticaldisplacementis5timeslargerthenwhentheworkfaceisontheupperfaultblock,whichgreatlyincrea
