2、lated.Theresultsindicatethatthevariationinhorizontal,verticalandshearstresses,aswellasthehorizontalandverticaldisplacementsintheupperandthelowerfaultblocksattheworkfacearealmostidentical.Influencedbyminingofthefloorrock,therearestressreleasingandstressrisingareasattheupperpartandatth
3、efootwallofthefault.Thedistributionofstressisinfluencedbythefaultsothatthestressisolinesarestaggeredbythefaultfaceandthestressisfocusedontherockseamaroundthetwoendsofthefault.Buttheinfluenceinfaultactivationontheupperorthelowerfaultblocksoftheworkfaceismarkedlydifferent.Whentheworkfa
4、ceisonthefootwallofthefault,thereisahorizontaltensionstressareaontheupperpartofthefault;whentheworkfaceisontheupperpartofthefault,ithasahorizontalcompressivestressareaonthelowerfaultblock.Whentheworkfaceisatthelowerfaultblock,themaximumverticaldisplacementis5timeslargerthenwhenthewor
