2、rpoweroftheMillersRiverformanufacturingsincethedammingoftheriverin1790.ThecommunityismadeupofsectionsofAthol,Warwick,RoylastonandatractoflandcalledErvinshire.ItwasnamedforWilliam,PrinceofOrange.Truetoitsindustrialpast,OrangewasthesiteofthefirstautomobilefactoryintheUnitedStates.TheHistorica
3、lSocietymaintainsa1904GroutautoasanexampleofthekindsofcarsbuiltinOrangeaswellasalargepewtercollectionandantiquemusicalinstruments.IndustrialproductsfromOrangetodayincludeheavymachinery,precisiontools,plasticsandwoodproducts.TheRodneyHuntCompany,producingwatercontrolequipment,isoneofthelarge
4、stemployersinFranklinCounty.OrangeAirportIndustrialParkprovidesasiteforindustrialexpansion,whileopenlandsofferingcampingandmaplesugaringtovisitorsprovidesomeruralcharacter.InApril,theannualRiverRatRacebringshundredsofcanoesandthousandsofvisitorstoseewinnerscrossthefinishlineinOrange.(Sealsu
