3、fusingthewebtoitsfullestpotential,thewebisevolvingfasttowardanintelligentwebsystems.Ideallytheintelligentwebsystemswillbeacombinationofasemanticwebandvariouswebserviceswherethecomputerscanautomaticallyprocessthewebcontentsandintegratetheirservices.Thispaperreportswhichw

4、ebtechnologiesandprotocolssucceededinrealizingthecurrentwebandspeculatewhatisgoingtobethepossiblefuturewebarchitectureanditssocialimpact.1.TheSuccessStoryoftheWebIn1989TimBarners-Lee[1]inventedtheWorldWideWeborWWWorW3,aninternet-basedhypertexttransferprotocol(HTTP)forgl

5、obalinformationsharing.Hypertextmarkuplanguage(HTML)wasdevelopedfordisplayingthewebpagesonabrowserlikeNetscapeorInternetExplorerrunningonauser’scomputer.Domainnameservice(DNS)anduniversalresourcelocator(URL)namingconventionsweredevelopedtodiscoveramachineontheinternetwh

6、ichhostsawebpage.Sincetheinceptionoftheweb,theexplosivegrowthofthenumberofwebsitesandthenumberofwebusersisanindicationofitspopularityamongststudents,researchers,businessesandshoppersalike.Webisthemostefficientmediumforinformationcollectionanddisseminationinthefastest-11

7、-andcheapestpossibleway.Webhaschangedoureverydaylives,ithaschangedthewaystudentsstudy,teachersteachandcompaniesrun.Thisexplosivegrowthofthewebalsohasbeenpossibleduetotheincreasedpopularityoftheuseofpersonalcomputers(PCs)andincreasedspeedoftheinternetaccess.Despitethehug
