4、inorganicphosphate.Inrecentyears,numerousphytasegeneshavebeendemonstratedtobeimportantforuti-lizingPifromphytateintransgenicplantsundercontrolledconditions,suchasinsolidnutritionmedium,hydroponicmedi-um,sterilizedvermiculite,andsandculture.However,thecapacityoftransgenicplantstoaccessphospha
5、tewhengrowninthefieldhasremainedunclear.Ourpreviousstudyobtainedsometransgeniccottonlinescontainingthephytasegene,andtheirabilitytoutilizeorganicphosphateunderhydroponicandvermiculiteculturewasdemonstrated.Usingthese-overexpressionlinesunderfieldconditions,10yield-relatedtraitswereinvestigat
6、edandanalyzedtodeterminethein-fluenceofthegeneonyieldcharacteristicsunderfieldconditions.Thisrevealedthenumbersofbollsperplant,bollweight,lintpercentage,seedcottonyield,andthelintyieldofpartiallytransgeniccottonlinesweresignificantlyhigherthanobservedinthewild-typecontrol.Basedontheseyieldtr
