5、ththestudytripaswellastheproposaltostartsuchanorganisation.IncreasedleisuretimeandpaidholidaystogetherwiththestrongtendencytoorganisesocialphenomenoncollectivelyformsthebackgroundtowhytravelandleisureorganisationswasformedinalmosteveryEuropeancountrydurin
6、gtheinterwarperiod.Initially,theywerefocusedontravelarrangements,butgraduallyastravelconditionsdetoriatedwhentheSecondWorldWardrewcloser,theirinterestturnedtowardsleisureactivitiesingeneral.Itisarguedthatthelogicbehindtheseorganisationscanbeexplainedbyanu
7、nderstandingofhowtheworkingclassineachcountrywasorganised.Moreover,theseorganisationscanbeunderstoodintermsofsomekindofpaternalisticconsensus-model,whichimpliedthattheleisuretimeofworkershadtobeorganized.Aswell,therewereoftengenuinelyentrepreneurialintere
8、stsbehindtheirformation.Theleisureindustryexpandedrapidly,creatingbusinesspossibilitiesatthesametimeasthelabourmovementsprovidedampleandorganisedmarketsfor“redentrepreneurs”.Inthedemocraticstates,thereformistlabourm
