3、chinfluencecorporateentrepreneurship,akeystrategicbehavior.WeproposethatCEOs’temporalleadership—howtheymanagethetemporalaspectsoftopmanagementteams’activities—mediatestherelationshipsbetweentheirtemporaldisposi-tionsandcorporateentrepreneurship—firms’innovation,corporateve

4、nturing,andstrategicrenewalactivities.Usingasampleof129smallandmedium-sizedChinesefirms,wefindthatCEOs’timeurgencyispositivelyrelatedtotheirtemporalleadership,whichinturnispositivelyrelatedtocorporateentrepre-neurship.Wealsoexaminetheeffectsofthreedistinctpacingstyles:earl

5、y-action,meaningtheCEOexertsthemosteffortearlyinthetaskprocessandrelaxesasthedeadlinenears;steady-action,meaningtheCEOspreadsouteffortevenlyacrossthetimeallotted;anddeadline-action,meaningtheCEOismostactiveasthedeadlinenears.Wefindthatthedeadline-actionstyleinhi-bitsCEOs’t
