3、useoftechnology(UTAUT),amodeloftheuseracceptanceofIT,synthesizeselementsfromseveralprevailinguseracceptancemodels.Ithasbeencreditedwithexplainingalargerproportionofthevarianceof‘intentiontouse’and‘usagebehavior’thandoprecedingmodels.However,ithasnotbeenvalidatedinn
4、on-Westerncultures.Usingasurveysamplecollectedfrom722knowledgeworkersusingdesktopcomputerapplicationsonavoluntarybasisinSaudiArabia,weexaminedtherelativepowerofamodifiedversionofUTAUTindetermining‘intentiontouse’and‘usagebehavior’.Wefoundthatthemodelexplained39.1%of
5、intentiontousevariance,and42.1%ofusagevariance.Inaddition,drawingonthetheoryofculturaldimensions,wehypothesizedandtestedthesimilaritiesanddifferencesbetweentheNorthAmericanandSaudivalidationsofUTAUTintermsofculturaldifferencesthataffectedtheorganizationalacceptance
