4、peakinclassbutalsolackofsubjectiveinitiativeenthusiasmandinterestintheoralEnglish.However,developmentofspokenEnglishabilityisinfluencedbyalotoffactors.Suchas:anxiousemotion,lackself-confidence,shyness,exceptingforteacher’snegativeteachingattitude.Allthesenegativefactors

6、ralpractice,don’tdaretospeakEnglishwhichleadsto“dumbEnglish”.Thisthesisconductsquestionnairesurveyandclassroomobservation,whichmakesasurveyof200studentsinSanmingUniversity.Thesurveyhasshownthataboutthehalfofstudents(51.1﹪)feltnervousandanxiouswhentheyneedtospeakEnglishi
7、nfrontofclassmatesandteacher.Meanwhile,whichithindersstudentstotakepartinclassactivity.WhenIaskthem:“Areyouactiveoforalpracticeinclasstoanswerteacher’squestions”,aboutthe73.7﹪ofstudentsareunwillingnesstoinitiativetoanswerquestions.WhenIaskthemwhatisspecialreasons:“whydo
