5、nnelwasexcavated，thesurroundingwallrockmaterialsoftenfroze,thefrostheavingcauseddamagetothelinerlayersandseepingwaterfrozeintoicediamonds，whichseriouslyinterferedwiththecommunicationandtransportation.SimilarproblemsofthefreezingdamageinthetunnelsalsoappearedinothercountrieslikeRu

6、ssia,NorwayandJapan.Henceitisurgenttopredictthefreeze-thawconditionsinthesurroundingrockmaterialsandprovideabasisforthedesign，constructionandmaintenanceofnewtunnelsincoldregions.Manytunnels，constructedincoldregionsortheirneighboringareas，passthroughthepartbeneaththepermafrostbase
