4、ustrialrobotfromthevarioussingle-purposemachinesusedinmodernmanufacturingfirms.Theterm“reprogrammable”impliestwothings:Therobotoperatesaccordingtoawrittenprogram,andthisprogramcanberewrittentoaccommodateavarietyofmanufactureingtasks.Theterm“multifunctiona

5、l”meansthattherobotcan,throughreprogrammingandtheuseofdifferentend-effectors,performanumberofdifferentmanufacturingtasks.Definitionswrittenaroundthesetwocriticalcharacteristicsarebecomingtheaccpteddefinitionsamongmanufacturingprofessionals.Thefirstarticul
