7、modernEnglish(1500----now).OldEnglish,alsocalledAnglo-Saxon,wasparticularinitsresemblancetoGermanicGroupwithcomplicatedgrammar,8cases(格)ofnounsandadjectives,butonlytwotenseofverbs.Newwordsaremostlycompounded.PoetryatthattimewasmostlyscriptedinSaxondialect.MiddleEnglishdif
