3、ableonline25January2006.AbstractTransmissionerrorsareconsideredasthemainsourceofvibrationandnoiseofgeardrives.Theimpactoftwomainfunctionsoftransmissionerrorsonnoiseisinvestigated:(i)alinearone,causedbyerrorsofalignment,and(ii)apredesignedparabolicfunctionoftransmissionerrors,appliedforreduc
4、tionofnoise.Itisshownthatalinearfunctionoftransmissionerrorsisaccompaniedwithedgecontact,andtheninsidethecycleofmeshing,themeshingbecomesamixedone:(i)assurface-to-surfacetangency,and(ii)surface-to-curvemeshingwhenedgecontactstarts.Applicationofapredesignedparabolicfunctionoftransmissionerro
5、rsenablestoabsorbthelinearfunctionsoftransmissionerrorscausedbyerrorsofalignment,reducenoise,andavoidedgecontact.Theinfluenceoftheloadonthefunctionoftransmissionerrorsisinvestigated.Elasticdeformationsofteethenabletoreducethemaximaltransmissionerrorsinloadedgeardrives.Computerizedsimulation
