2、ssibletoidentifyspecificformsofarchitecturaldesignoffamilyhousesthatareauthentictospecificregionsofSlovenia.Thesecharacteristicformspresentsomeoftheimportanthistoricalmorpho!ogicalelementsthatmarktheindividualidentityofthedifferentterritorialregions.Inrecent-years,however,thereh
3、asbeenanoticeablechangeinthewayfamilyhousesarebeingdesigned.New,completelydifferentarchitecturaldesignsarerapidlyreplacingthepreviouscharacteristicforms.Theresultsofoursurveyshowthatthese‘modern’designapproaches,initiallyintroducedinurbanandsuburbanareas,arerapidlyspreadingtocou

6、singconstructionofhousingestates,predominantlyconsistingofblocksofflatsandhigh-risebuildingsathighdensity.Thelatterusedtobereferredtoassocialhousingbeforemostofthedwellingsinthesehousingestatesweresoldofftothesittingtenantsduringtheprivatisationprocessintheearly1990s.Thisdiscuss
