2、uallyasinputstoaneconometricmodelforAugust29,2017analyzingcustomersatisfactionwithmorethan300companiesin43industriesand10economicsectors,includingvariousservicesoffederalandlocalgovernmentagencies.ACSIAUTOMOBILEACSIresultsarereleasedthroughouttheyear,withallREPORT2017meas

3、uresreportedonascaleof0to100.ACSIdatahaveproventobestronglyrelatedtoseveralessentialindicatorsofmicroandmacroeconomicperformance.Forexample,firmswithhigherlevelsofINDUSTRYRESULTSFOR:customersatisfactiontendtohaveAutomobiles&LightVehicleshigherearningsandstockreturnsrelati

5、ileReport2017CustomerSatisfactionChallengesforDetroitCustomersatisfactionwithautomobilesandlightvehiclesslips1.2%toascoreof81ontheAmericanCustomerSatisfactionIndex’s(ACSI®)scaleof0to100.Ayearago,theindustryimproveddriversatisfactionandsaleswereatrecordhighs.Thisyear,deman

6、dseemssomewhatsaturated,andtotalcarsalesaredown11.4%forthefirsthalfof2017.So,too,iscustomersatisfactionfortheindustry,althoughindividualnameplatespostmoregainsthanlosses.Amongthe25automakerstrackedbytheACSI,12improvefromayearagoandonly8platesdecline—4ofwhicharedomesticbra

7、nds.Foreign-madevehiclescontinuetohavethehighestdriversatisfactionand77%oftheabove-averagenameplatesintheACSIareimports.Manyforeign-madecarsarenotpartofthecustomersatisfactiondownturnfortheindustry,andEuropeanautomakersmatchJapaneseandKoreanmanufacturerswithanACSIscoreof8
