5、npreviousresearch,theMathtestitembankhasbeenplannedonthebasisofeightprinciples:meaningfulitems,fewervariations,simpleobjectives,differentiatedtestcandidates,readablelanguage,distinctlevels,clearsolution,andtakingdifficultylevelintoconsideration.Thepurposeoftheplanwastopromoteitemqualit
6、y,stabilizeitemdifficultyindexes,increasethenumberofitemwriters,andensuregooditemmanagementanditemsecurity.AFactor-IndexedModelwasusedtoreplacethetraditionalpre-testingapproachtopredicttestdifficulty.TheDRTtestresultanalysisshowedthatthisnewindexwaspracticalandreliable,beingabletodiscr
